Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric therapy services in the greater Houston area. You will evaluate patients, create individualized treatment plans, and work with families to implement home programs.

Applicants should have an accredited OT program and TX license, with new graduates welcome. Bilingual Spanish is a plus and supervision of COTAs is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Previous experience supervising COTAs preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services per physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address fine motor, sensory processing, coordination, strength, ROM, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and ADLs.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate families/caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and inter-disciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
