Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist in Texas to evaluate and treat pediatric patients. You will develop individualized plans, address a range of functional skills, and educate families on home programs.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and thorough documentation are essential. Flexible scheduling options include Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN, with a sign-on bonus and ongoing supervision from experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Texas OT license by start date.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience supervising COTAs preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services according to physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address fine motor, sensory processing, coordination, strength, ROM, self-care, visual-motor integration and daily living skills.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
