Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, daycares, and schools in the Greater Houston area. You’ll provide individualized treatment plans and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Texas OT license by anticipated start date.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based OT services per physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, ROM, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavior and daily living activities.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate families and caregivers on techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Occupational Therapist Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services in accordance with physician-approved Plans of Care
• Address functional skills including fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, range of motion, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and activities of daily living
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

Pay:

$60.00–$70.00 per hour
