Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Columbia, SC seeks an Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician with a pediatric focus. You will fabricate orthotics and prosthetic devices, working closely with clinicians and patients in a small workshop away from the exam room.

Attention to detail, hand skills, and familiarity with small hand tools are essential. Experience with band saws, drill presses, vacuums, heat guns, blades, and routers is preferred. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
A valid driver’s license and driving record within policy standards.
Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
May fit and deliver prefabricated and off-the-shelf orthoses.
Provide education to patients on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for DME products as indicated by physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations.
Contact vendors to order orthotic fabrication materials and maintain inventory of items used during fabrication process.
