Job summary

Hanger is seeking a fabrication-focused technician to work in a small on-site workshop, away from the exam room. You will work with clinicians and patients to fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices, using hand tools and small machinery.

Prior experience with band saws, drill presses, vacuum systems, heat guns, blades, speed routers, and similar tools is valuable. The role emphasizes strong hand skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow physician prescriptions and manufacturer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or 2 years experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering, receiving, and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses and related items.
• Provide patient education on application, use, care and outcomes of DME products.
