Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Inc. seeks an LPN Suture/Ortho Specialist for Emergency Services in Columbus. The role is part-time with 32 hours per week on 8-hour shifts between 11a-3a, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.

The position involves care for pediatric and some adult patients under RN direction, and requires Ohio LPN licensure and BLS-CPR. Base pay starts at $26.50/hour with applicable shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of practical or vocational nursing.
• Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS-CPR Certification. Must obtain PEARS certification as determined by Program Supervisor/Program Director.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical nursing care to acute and chronically ill patients under RN supervision.
• Assists in evaluation, treatment and follow-up for wound and orthopedic injuries in the emergency setting.
• Administers and documents medications by all routes with safety checks.
• Performs procedures under physician orders and documents home care instructions.
• Works as part of the care team to support patient care and education.
