Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide technical pediatric nursing care under RN supervision. The role involves shifts 11a–3a, 32 hours per week, across multiple campus locations, with a 3-year commitment and January 2027 start.

Responsibilities include assisting in emergency care, wound management, and cast/splint care, while collaborating with practitioners to ensure quality patient outcomes and teaching opportunities for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of practical or vocational nursing.
• Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS-CPR Certification; PEARS certification as required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical nursing care to pediatric patients under RN supervision.
• Assist in evaluation, treatment, and follow-up for minor and major injuries in emergency/urgent care settings.
• administer and document medications per five rights.
• Collaborate with RN Care Manager and Practitioners on patient care.
• Educate residents, house staff, and students in wound care and suturing techniques.
