Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department/Urgent Care float position. 16-32 hrs/week, 8-hr shifts between 11a-3a, every other weekend and holiday rotation across Main Campus and several Ohio locations including Hilliard, Dublin, Marysville, Westerville and East Columbus.

The role assists in evaluation, treatment, and follow‑up of patients with wounds and orthopedic injuries under supervision of ER/UC Practitioners, with focus on patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Emergency medicine/urgent care environment experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Requires licensure or certification as EMT-B, EMT-Paramedic, CMA or RMA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation, treatment, and follow‑up for wounds and ortho injuries under supervision.
• Support care of emergency patients with RN and practitioners.
• Perform duties per hospital policies and procedures while contributing to team goals.
• Facilitate education and training opportunities for staff and learners.
