Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an OR (Peds) role at a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity offers self-scheduling and the chance to contribute to pediatric perioperative care.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of OR (Peds) experience, an Ohio RN license, BSN or in progress, and current BLS/ACLS, with CNOR preferred and PALS a plus. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
