Job summary

Children's Mercy in Kansas City is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the surgical services team in a Day shift, Full Time role at Adele Hall location. You will provide age-appropriate nursing care for patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures, using the nursing process and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities include patient and family education, advocacy, and maintaining a safe, family-centered perioperative environment.

Qualifications

Must graduate from Nursing School with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree before Jan 2027.
Associate's Degree required. If hired, you must obtain your Bachelor's degree in nursing within 5 years of your start date
Bachelor's Degree
Employees must obtain their Registered Nurse Multistate License in Kansas or Missouri within 90 days of graduation, preferably before start date

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe, high-quality, age-appropriate care for surgical patients.
Meets educational and informational needs of patients and families.
