Job summary

Valley Children’s Healthcare seeks an Operating Room Technician to assist with patient and family care under physician and RN supervision. You will help prepare for procedures, monitor safety and contribute to high-quality surgical care in a busy OR environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/G.E.D., completion of an OR technician program or 3 years of OR tech experience, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Six months related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
• Program: OR Technician program or 3 years experience as OR Tech in lieu of program (required)
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS - AHA within 30 days of hire (required)
• Work Experience: Minimum six (6) months related experience (preferred)
• Skills: Medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect care of patients/families under physician and/or RN supervision
• Collects data pertinent to patient assessment with emphasis on physiological, psychosocial, environmental and cognitive status
• Adheres to safety standards to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery
