Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ, is seeking a registered nurse for our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Surgery unit (7th Floor-Hem/Onc). The 24-bed unit serves neonate to adolescent patients with cancer, blood disorders, and post-surgical care.

This full-time night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM offers an 18% night differential and a flat $3/hour weekend differential. New Graduate RN with less than 12 months of experience may explore RN New Grad openings.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice with active status.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for hematology/oncology.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop a care plan with interdisciplinary input.
• Implement and coordinate nursing care per orders and policies.
• Document care and communicate patient status to the care team.
• Participate in unit leadership and quality improvement activities.
• Educate patients and families to support care at home and in hospital.
