Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, seeks a Medical/Surgical Oncology RN for a 36-hour-per-week role (days/nights). The unit handles diagnoses from leukemia to various cancers, with comprehensive cancer care and affiliation with MD Anderson. New grads welcome to apply to RN New Grad openings.

Full-time schedule includes 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am shifts; night diff of 18% and weekend diff of $3/hour apply. BSN preferred but not required, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Med/Surg oncology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Implement the plan of care and coordinate with team members.
• Communicate patient progress and discharge needs to physicians and family.
• Document nursing care accurately and promptly.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
