Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Pediatric Surgery department. The role supports neonates to adolescents with a diverse range of cancer and blood disorders, and post-surgical patients, within a 24-bed unit and an interdisciplinary team.

This is a full-time DAY shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. A flat rate of $3/hour weekend shift differential is offered, with opportunities for APHON certification and

Qualifications

• New Graduate Nurse with less than 12 months of experience encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as needed.
