Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN to join the Pediatric Oncology unit in Durham, NC for a 13-week assignment. You will provide specialized nursing care to young patients undergoing chemotherapy, with emphasis on safety, comfort, and family communication.

The role requires at least 1 year in pediatric oncology, BLS, PALS, chemo certifications, and proficient port access and chemotherapy administration, along with charting responsibilities and teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric oncology nursing experience.
• License: NC or Compact license in hand.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), APHON.
• Must have charge experience, patient ratio experience, and charting system experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor chemotherapy infusions and manage adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plan and side effects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and coordinate care.
• Prepare for emergencies and ensure accurate charting.
