Easterseals Florida is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will implement individualized treatment plans, educate families, and document progress while maintaining productivity and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include EMR/documentation, collaboration with the clinical team and families, and flexible duties across Easterseals programs.

Formación

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program.
• Current Florida COTA license.
• Medicaid and NPI numbers preferred.
• Previous pediatric therapy experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively engage children, families, and team members.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and self-development.
• Positive attitude toward individuals with disabilities and alignment with the Easterseals mission and work environment.

Responsabilidades

• Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a Licensed OT.
• Provide education, training, and support to clients and families.
• Achieve established productivity goals while maintaining high quality of care.
• Document client progress notes, summaries, billing information, and justifications for equipment, payment, and treatment within required policy timeframes.
• Utilize EMR, Office 365, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
• Facilitate coordinated care for pediatric clients with the clinical team, parents/guardians, and supervising OT.
• Manage a caseload with collaboration and communication with the supervising OT.
• Maintain organized patient files and complete related clerical tasks.
• Assist OT with administrative support, including monitoring Plan of Care dates.
• Provide therapy services across Easterseals programs as needed.
• Aim to achieve treatment goals within defined timetables.
