Job summary

Arbor Therapy is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Glendale clinic team. You will provide individualized, evidence-based therapy to help children strengthen daily living skills at home, school, and in the community.

Our collaborative, interdisciplinary environment supports professional growth, mentorship, and meaningful work with children and families, including opportunities in early intervention and feeding therapy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license in good standing or eligibility to obtain Arizona licensure.
• Current Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one before beginning employment.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current Article 9 certification by the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
• Provide intervention addressing fine motor and visual-motor development, sensory processing and integration, self-regulation, feeding skills, and activities of daily living.
• Establish measurable goals and monitor client progress.
• Modify treatment approaches based on each child's needs and response to intervention.
• Educate and coach parents and caregivers to promote carryover at home and in the community.
• Collaborate with other care team members and supervise OT assistants and students when applicable.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Provide intervention addressing areas such as:

• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, therapy assistants, and other members of the care team
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants and students when applicable
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license in good standing or eligibility to obtain Arizona licensure
• Current Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one before beginning employment
• Current CPR certification
• Current Article 9 certification by the time of hire
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of pediatric occupational therapy experience
• Pediatric fieldwork experience for new graduates
• Experience or a strong interest in:

  • Developmental disabilities
  • Sensory integration
  • Feeding therapy
  • Neurodiversity-affirming care
• Familiarity with AAC and interdisciplinary communication supports
• Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish

Working Conditions

This position involves intermittent standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday. Therapists work closely with children who may have developmental, behavioral, sensory, or physical challenges and who may occasionally display challenging behaviors.
