Job summary

Summit Speech Therapy in McKinney/Frisco, TX seeks an OT-R to join the fastest-growing DFW team. Positions available part-time or full-time; focus on pediatric care with opportunities to lead in orthopedic care.

Candidates must have 5+ years of pediatric experience. Texas OT licensure (or temporary license with completion within 6 months) and NBCOT registration (within 6 months if temp) are required. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited OT program or MOT with Texas licensure.
• Must have 5+ years of pediatric experience including autism spectrum.
• Texas OT licensure (or temporary with 6-month completion). NBCOT registration required within 6 months if temp.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pediatric occupational therapy services.
• Collaborate with families and staff in care plans.
• Lead initiatives in orthopedic growth within clinics.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

• - Must be a graduate of an accredited four year Occupational Therapy school; OR, must be a graduate of an accredited two year Master's degree program in Occupational Therapy (MOT).

Experience:

• - Must have five (3) years of experience to include one year of experience in a specific physical disability and/or with patients on the autism spectrum.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

• - Must have current licensure with the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners for Texas, or have temporary licensure in Texas. Completion of Texas licensure is required within six months of receiving a temporary licensure.
• - Must have current registration as an Occupational Therapist by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Completion of NBCOT is required within six months if being hired with a temporary licensure.

Skills or Special Abilities:

• - Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• - Must be able to be flexible and adaptable to frequent changes in the work environment.
• - Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving ability.
• - Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability.
• - Must have familiarity with personal computers, word processor and spreadsheet software.

• Must be able to lift 35 lbs
