Job summary

Summit Therapy (Texas) operates outpatient OT clinics in McKinney and Frisco, TX. We are seeking an OT-R with pediatric expertise for both part-time and full-time roles to join the fastest-growing team in DFW.

We offer opportunities to grow and lead in the orthopedic field, flexible scheduling including a 4-day work week option, and full administrative support handling scheduling, CEU benefits, PTO, and medical/dental/life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of pediatric OT experience.
• Graduate of accredited OT program (4-year) or MOT.
• Texas OT licensure or temporary licensure with 6 months to complete licensure.
• NBCOT certification; completion within 6 months if temporary licensure.
• Effective communication with patients, families and staff.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Education

• Must be a graduate of an accredited four year Occupational Therapy school; OR, must be a graduate of an accredited two year Master's degree program in Occupational Therapy (MOT).

Experience

• Must have five (3) years of experience to include one year of experience in a specific physical disability and/or with patients on the autism spectrum.

Certification/Registration/Licensure

• Must have current licensure with the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners for Texas, or have temporary licensure in Texas. Completion of Texas licensure is required within six months of receiving a temporary licensure.
• Must have current registration as an Occupational Therapist by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Completion of NBCOT is required within six months if being hired with a temporary licensure.

• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Must be able to be flexible and adaptable to frequent changes in the work environment.
• Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving ability.

• Must have familiarity with personal computers, word processor and spreadsheet software.
