Job summary

KidsCare Home Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric occupational therapy in clients' homes. The role includes directing patients and caregivers in therapeutic tasks to restore or enhance function and participating in education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current state-issued professional licensure.
• Valid state driver license.
• CPR certification.
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, organize, and conduct pediatric occupational therapy in the home health setting.
• Direct patient and caregiver in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and/or enhance performance.
• Examine, evaluate, and administer remedial treatments for pediatric patients.
• Provide clinical treatment including screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, and family training and counseling.
• Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with patient and family regarding progress and home programs.
• Refer patients and family members to appropriate services and resources.
• Consult with physician on patient progress and maintain records.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Participate in QA/QI program and continuing education activities.
• Maintain adequate caseload and productivity; mentor students and new hires.
