Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to deliver evaluations and treatment for neonatal to adolescent patients. You will develop age-appropriate plans of care, supervise rehab staff, and coordinate with hospital teams to support patient function at home and in the community.

The role requires NBCOT certification, Arizona OT license, DPS fingerprint clearance, and BLS. Experience in pediatric settings and specialty training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Specialty training in pediatric ortho, neuro, neuromuscular, NDT, taping, medically complex/fragile, developmental, or other relevant pediatric areas. Preferred.
• Current NBCOT certification prior to start date required.
• Current State of Arizona Occupational Therapist license prior to start date required.
• Current AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card prior to start date required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association prior to start date required.
• AOTA pediatric specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats pediatric patients with occupational performance disorders/delays, demonstrating knowledge of normal development and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate services in self-care and play.
• Establishes treatment plans with age-appropriate goals and target timeframes, discussed with family and mutually agreed upon.
• Organizes and coordinates patient care with other disciplines and community resources, including discharge planning and home programs.
• Maintains compliant documentation and productivity according to standards.
• Supervises rehab technicians, therapist assistants and/or students, providing feedback.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
