Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a pediatric occupational therapist to evaluate and treat neonates to adolescents, with focus on self-care, play, sensory-motor integration, cognitive and psychosocial skills.

You will establish age-appropriate treatment plans, document thoroughly, coordinate care with other disciplines, and supervise rehab staff. Family education and home programs are included to support functional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTR).
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Specialized pediatric training preferred (ortho, neuro, neuromuscular, NDT, etc.).
• NBCOT certification required before start date.
• Arizona OT license required before start date.
• AZ DPS fingerprint clearance required before start date.
• BLS certification required before start date.
• AOTA pediatric specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats pediatric patients with occupational performance disorders.Uses age-appropriate goals and plans of care.
• Develops and coordinates treatment plans and discharge planning with family involvement.
• Maintains timely documentation in accordance with standards.
• Supervises rehab technicians, therapist assistants and/or students.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
