Job summary

Children’s Specialized ABA in Princeton, NJ, seeks a Part-time Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and deliver evidence‑based OT services within an interdisciplinary ABA team. You will assess motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities to improve independence and quality of life for children with autism.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, implementing interventions aligned with ABA goals, and educating families to ensure consistency across environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current NJ Occupational Therapist license.
• Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Experience conducting evaluations and implementing treatment plans for pediatric clients.
• Knowledge of sensory integration, motor development, and activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client in coordination with the ABA team.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve motor skills, sensory integration, self-help skills, and adaptive behaviors.
• Collaborate with behavior analysts to align OT goals with the ABA treatment plan.
• Monitor and track client progress; adjust interventions to meet goals.
• Provide family and caregiver education to ensure carryover of therapy goals at home and in the community.
• Document all sessions and maintain up-to-date client records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss progress and plan changes.
• Offer training and consultation to staff on integrating OT strategies within ABA programs.
