Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a fabrication-focused technician to help fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices in a workshop setting, away from the exam room. You will use hand tools and small equipment to craft devices under clinician direction, ensuring accurate fits and patient safety.

The role emphasizes hand skills, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork, with opportunities to educate patients and coordinate with vendors for materials. Minnesota pay range applies; benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record within policy standards.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated and off-the-shelf orthoses such as cervical orthoses, pressure gradient hose, and trusses.
• Provide education to patients on the use, care, and outcomes for DME products as indicated.
• Contact vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
