Children's of Alabama seeks a Nursing Professional Development educator to facilitate the professional growth of nurses and staff. This role focuses on developing competencies through accredited programs and certifications within a pediatric care setting.

The position requires BSN with a subspecialty focus, MSN enrollment within 12 months, and 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics. Alabama RN license and BLS/PALS/NRP instructor credentials are required.

Qualifications

• BSN required with subspecialty focus; enrollment in MSN within 12 months of acceptance.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; pediatric experience preferred.
• Current Alabama RN license; BLS, PALS, or NRP Instructor certification; national cert within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate professional role development and growth of nurses and healthcare personnel at Children's of Alabama.
• Coordinate and deliver continuing education programs including BLS/PALS/NRP.
• Schedule and supervise Day shift educator responsibilities (8-hour shifts).
