Job summary

Penn Medicine Princeton is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist to advance the education of nursing staff in pediatric health. The ideal candidate has Neonatal ICU and Pediatric Emergency Department experience, along with inpatient pediatric exposure.

Responsibilities include assessing staff learning needs, planning and delivering in-service education, and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards and health regulations.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required) credential is required.
• RN license in New Jersey is required.
• Master's in Nursing is preferred.
• CPR Instructor certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with leadership to assess learning needs of staff.
• Develops, plans, and implements in-service and continuing education activities.
• Serves as a planner and presenter for the Continuing Education Provider Unit.
• Designs educational materials using adult learning principles.
• Maintains documentation and adheres to patient safety and quality standards.
• Participates in Nursing Orientation, RN Residency, and other programs to recruit and retain staff.
