Job summary

Grand Canyon University in the Phoenix metro area seeks a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty in Pediatrics for the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions in St. Louis.

As a full-time faculty member, you will develop and deliver clinical instruction, using current teaching methods and technologies to support pre-licensure nursing students. You will collaborate with faculty, assess student progress, grade performance, and stay abreast of trends in nursing education.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years' work experience in Pediatric nursing.
• An active and unencumbered RN license in MO or compact state.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Evidence of involvement in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to assess and document student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
• Participates in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Keeps lines of communication with program faculty and director including attendance in faculty meetings.
• Remains current with trends and developments in nursing practice.
• Maintains compliance with program accreditation requirements.
• Travels to student clinical sites to observe performance.
