Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks an Immediate Full-Time Faculty Member for Pediatrics at the Albuquerque site. You will provide program instruction using innovative teaching methods, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends, contributing to the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions.

Qualified applicants hold an MSN, with at least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, an active NM RN license, and a commitment to diversity and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent work experience in pediatric nursing.
• Active, current RN license in New Mexico or compact state.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Evidence of involvement in professional activities (membership, presentations, research, publications).
• Must pass a drug test and align with the University mission.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content with clinical and lab applications in nursing.
• Collaborate with faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical/lab performance checks.
• Maintain communications with program faculty and director, attend select faculty meetings.
• Stay current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travel to student clinical sites in the Albuquerque area to observe performance.
