Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty member for Med/Surg in St. Louis. The full-time role focuses on direct and indirect clinical instruction for pre-licensure nursing students, blending didactic with hands-on lab experiences.

Requirements include a Master’s of Science in Nursing and an active RN license in MO or a compact state, plus at least two years of medical/surgical nursing. Teaching experience is preferred and travel to clinical sites is expected.

Qualifications

MSN required and active RN license in MO or compact state.
Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience in last 2 years.
Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
Evidence of professional involvement (organizations, presentations, publications).

Responsibilities

Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing.
Collaborates with content area faculty to evaluate student progress in clinical objectives.
Participates in grading written work and clinical/lab performance check-offs.
Maintains communication with program faculty and attends select meetings.
Stays current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
Upholds the university's doctrinal statements and mission.
May travel to student clinical sites to observe performance.
