Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• Two (2) years of nursing experience and pediatric experience required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses as scheduled and assumes primary responsibility for and exercises oversight of the curriculum in conjunction with the Department’s policies, ensuring both the rigor of programs and the quality of instruction.
• Considers individual differences of students to design and support a range of learning activities.
• Participates in identifying students with academic or other needs and responds accordingly.
• Uses technology in a manner appropriate to courses and programs and communicates expectations to students.
• Maintains attendance records and communicates progress feedback to students.
• Create and maintain accurate syllabi aligned with requirements.
• Participates in selection of materials to support curriculum.
• Conducts classes punctually and adheres to schedules.
• Employs assessment techniques to measure student performance toward course goals.
• Be a facilitator of learning in a virtual environment.
• Maintains office hours and uses technology to communicate with students.
• Encourages community among students for learning inside and outside classroom.
• Refers students to support services available at College or in the community.
• Promotes continual improvement in teaching and learning through involvement in evaluation, curriculum development, and professional development.
