Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Pediatric Clinical Educator-Nursing to join our team at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. The Educator-Nursing role focuses on in-depth nursing education and demonstration of clinical skills across the system, with travel throughout central Illinois for teaching.

The position is full-time (40 hrs/wk, 8:00-4:30), based at St. John’s Hospital, with virtual teaching and regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field is preferred.
• Four years of staff nurse or healthcare experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth knowledge and demonstration of nursing skills and the specialty area of practice.
• Promote education and development of direct care providers to enhance quality of patient care.
• Teach virtually across the system and travel throughout central Illinois for teaching sessions.
