Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks an RN Education Specialist to lead staff education, onboarding, and competency development. This role plans and delivers learning activities, leverages LMS for tracking, and collaborates with leadership to advance clinical education.

You will implement continuing nursing education, assess needs, and support evidence-based practice across departments, ensuring ongoing professional growth for nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Three years RN experience; pediatrics preferred.
• BSN degree required.
• Current Georgia RN license.
• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• CCM or RN-BC certification within one year of hire.
• NPD certification within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates onboarding of new employees with orientation plans.
• Develops and implements individualized orientation to guide competency.
• Coordinates logistics of orientation and updates on new systems.
• Manages competency assessment and documentation.
• Supports learning and professional development through education and training.
