Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks an experienced Education Coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate staff education programs that improve patient care quality. You will lead clinical practice development, with a focus on onboarding, competency, and professional growth leveraging LMS and LEAN processes.

The role requires a BSN with an active Georgia RN license, and a Master’s in Education is preferred.

Qualifications

  • RN with BSN and active Georgia license
  • Experience in staff education or development
  • Ability to design educational activities for adult learners
  • Experience with EPIC or similar healthcare platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates onboarding and orientation for new and existing staff
  • Develops individualized orientation plans guiding competency and role progression
  • Coordinates orientation logistics and communicates with stakeholders
  • Maintains educational records and tracks learning activities using LEAN methodology and LMS
  • Participates in committees and initiatives to advance staff development and quality care
  • Assesses learning needs and designs continuing nursing education and inter-professional education as appropriate
  • Monitors resource utilization and ensures cost-effective education programs
  • Promotes lifelong learning and professional development within the organization
