Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks an experienced Nurse Educator to assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate education for clinical staff, promoting high-quality patient care and professional development. You will develop unit education plans and lead efforts in safe patient care through evidence-based practice.

The role focuses on orientation, competency management, and education design while aligning with system programs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation skills to showcase credibility and effectiveness.
• Basic knowledge of adult learning principles in the design of educational activities to provide quality training materials.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates onboarding of new employees which includes orientation and integration.
• Develops and implements individualized orientation plans guiding new employees to competency.
• Coordinates logistics of orientation while keeping stakeholders informed.
• Develops, coordinates, manages, evaluates, and documents outcomes to support competency assessment and learning.
• Promotes compliance with regulatory standards and maintains educational records.
• Uses LEAN methodology and LMS to document educational activities.
• Collaborates with leadership to provide performance feedback and support career development.
• Incorporates research, evidence-based practice into educational planning and guides practice decisions.
