Job summary

Bloom Pediatrics in Detroit and surrounding communities is seeking a Pediatric RN to join our clinical leadership team. This role combines direct patient care with community engagement, vaccine program support, and care coordination.

You will work with families, staff, and external partners, provide triage by phone, oversee offsite vaccine clinics, and help align health initiatives with our mission to deliver family-centered pediatric care. Weekend availability is required on a monthly basis.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan is required.
  • Pediatric clinical experience (2–3 years) is preferred.
  • Willingness to work one weekend day per month.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical RN support to families and staff on the care team.
  • Phone triage and counseling for families.
  • Coordinate care with providers and medical assistants.
  • Maintain documentation of patient interactions.
  • Support vaccine program by coordinating with health departments.
  • Supervise offsite vaccine clinics.
  • Engage with community resources and community events.
  • Represent the practice at meetings and events.

Job Type: Bloom Pediatrics is seeking both Full-Time and Part-Time RNs
Location: Our office locations include Detroit, Birmingham, Bloomfield, Southfield, MI (with occasional offsite travel for community work)
About Us: We are a growing pediatric practice with four locations (Detroit, Birmingham, Bloomfield, and Southfield), committed to providing exceptional family-centered care. We are seeking a community oriented Pediatric RN to join our team and help support our families and strengthen community engagement.
Position Summary: The Pediatric RN will serve as a clinical leader focused on supporting children and families in Detroit and surrounding communities. This role combines direct clinical expertise with community engagement, program coordination, and vaccine program support. The ideal candidate has a background in pediatrics, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with families, staff, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve on the practice’s clinical RN team, providing guidance and support to staff and families
  • Provide phone triage and counseling to families
  • Facilitate Bloom’s Care Management program for eligible families
  • Coordinate patient care with providers and medical assistants
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions
  • Perform phlebotomy and related lab services as needed
  • Manage the use of practice-owned medical equipment for patient treatment including equipment storage, maintenance, and occasional transportation
  • Ensure compliance with vaccine standards by coordinating with health departments, vaccine manufacturers, and pharmaceutical representatives
  • Support and supervise medical assistants at offsite vaccine clinics
  • Connect families with community resources to address health, wellness, and social needs
  • Represent the practice in community events, partnerships, and initiatives
  • Partner with the Clinical Manager and leadership team to align community health efforts with practice goals
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan (required).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience; pediatric experience required.
  • Must be willing to work one weekend day per month.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft presentations, emails, and educational materials.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Experience with vaccines, immunization standards, and public health programs (preferred).
  • Knowledge of community resources for children and families in Detroit (preferred).
  • Comfortable representing the practice at meetings, events, and clinics both onsite and offsite.
  • Passion for community health and family-centered pediatric care.
