Job summary

UNC Health in Granite Falls, NC is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, onsite position in a busy pediatric practice. The role focuses on well-child and sick-child visits for patients from newborn to 18 years, with daytime clinic coverage.

You will work with a collaborative team, provide independent and team-based care, and participate in occasional urgent care coverage for Falls Pediatrics. Residency in NC is required and APRN/PA licensure is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina (NP/PA).
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA.

Responsibilities

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in beautiful Western, NC

• UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. Caldwell Physicians and UNC Health Medical Group provide the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations and 137 bed hospital. Caldwell is seeking a Pediatric NP for a position in a traditional outpatient model with a team of experienced partners.
• Location in the Blue Ridge Mountains – the heart of Northwestern North Carolina with a temperate 4 climate seasons
• Location- The Falls Pediatrics, 4355 Hickory Blvd., Lower Suite, Granite Falls, North Carolina 28630
• A variety of things to do: outdoor recreation, art, music, cycling, water sports, hiking and more
• Proximity to higher education opportunities: Appalachian State University in Boone, NC; Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC; Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute in Hudson, NC; and an excellent pre-K thru 12 Public School System that includes an Early College High School

Practice Highlights:

• Collaborative team of 5 providers in a busy/mature practice!
• Patient Contact hours: 36 hours of patient care; 4 days of clinic / week – Primary Pediatric practice (newborn to 18 yrs of age). Well-child visits, Sick-child visits. Assist with intermittent Falls Peds Urgent Care coverage.
• Located next to a Pediatric Urgent Care, the only one in the region. It is located in an Upper Suite at The Falls Pediatrics, open seven days per week with a dedicated staff.

Education Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.

• No prior experience required.
