You will manage pediatric and newborn patients with consultation, collaboration, and supervision under a collaborative practice agreement. The role emphasizes independent clinical judgment within hospital policy, with support from Pediatric Hospitalist, Intensivist, Pediatrician, and ER Physician.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in nursing with pediatric focus.
• Master's in Nursing or equivalent experience.
• 1 year pediatric experience; 2 years preferred.
• Current LA APRN license; PALS and BLS on hire.
• NRP and PALS Instructor Certification within 12 months.
• ILCOR courses accepted (e.g., AHA/Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric and newborn patient care under supervision and collaborative agreement.
• Lead pediatric resuscitation efforts as needed.
• Perform lumbar puncture, IV therapy, and abscess drainage.
• Coordinate with Pediatric Hospitalist, Intensivist, Pediatrician and ER physician.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards.
