Job summary

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• One year of experience in an acute Pediatric Emergency Department preferred.
• BLS required upon hire, PALS and ALS within 90 days of hire.
• ILCOR courses may include manikin check off.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical activities for Pediatric Emergency Department patients.
• Apply nursing process: organize, plan, implement, evaluate and provide care.
• Supervise LPNs, Unit Assistants and CNAs; float to Pediatric Acute Unit as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards.
