Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support a pediatric care team in providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.

The role covers night shifts with every third weekend, and requires CNA certification and BLS, with orientation and ongoing education offered. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA Program.
• Current certification as a CNA in the State of Illinois, active/good standing. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet families in the ambulatory clinic area.
• Assist with taking and documenting vital signs and medical information.
• Assist with point of care testing, medical procedures, and intra hospital transport.
• Ensure medical equipment is stocked and clean.
• Dispose of medical waste properly, keep rooms neat and tidy, and ensure timely patient rounds.
