Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for the General Medicine & Pulmonary unit. The role supports nursing staff in delivering compassionate pediatric care, including vital signs, documentation, and procedure assistance.

The unit handles ages from birth to young adulthood, focusing on respiratory illnesses and complex medical needs. Night shifts and every third weekend are required, with extensive benefits and growth

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current Illinois CNA certification with good standing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year of acute care hospital experience is strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Help nursing staff with compassionate, high‑quality patient care.
• Take and document vital signs and medical information.
• Perform point-of-care testing and assist with procedures.
• Assist with intra-hospital transport and rounds.
• Ensure medical equipment is stocked, clean and functional.
• Dispose of medical waste properly and maintain tidy rooms.
