Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant to join the Inpatient Unit. This role supports Registered Nurses by delivering direct patient care and maintaining a compassionate, family-centered environment for pediatric patients.

The position is 48 hours bi-weekly (0.6 FTE) with shifts 2:00 pm–10:30 pm, including every other weekend and holiday rotations. A CNA credential and CPR certification are required, with at least one year of pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• CPR certification from American Heart Association
• One year of pediatric experience

Responsibilities

• Assists with delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks.
• Demonstrates caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
• Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities.
