Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks an Occupational Therapist II for the NICU on a PRN, part-time basis in Streeterville, Chicago.

The role emphasizes leadership, education, and research in pediatric care, with advanced clinical reasoning across patient evaluation and family education. Qualifications

• Successful graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current License in the State of Illinois.
• Minimum of four (4) years of pediatric clinical experience in a medical setting similar to Lurie Children’s.
• Certification in CPR from the American Heart Association by having completed the BLS AED Heartsaver Course.

Responsibilities

• Uses advanced clinical reasoning and skills in patient evaluation, treatment, and family education.
• Provides leadership in establishing protocols for best practice and participates in education materials development.
• May provide consultation to staff and students and collaborate with other departments.
• Mentors others in a defined area and supports daily operations and process improvement.
