Endeavor Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist II for inpatient neonatal care at Evanston Hospital. This part-time role (20 hours/week, typically 4 afternoons) focuses on assessment and intervention for premature and medically complex infants, with collaboration across NICU services.

You will educate families, support feeding readiness, and contribute to discharge planning, while staying current with evidence-based neonatal OT practices.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible to practice as an Occupational Therapist in IL; NBCOT certified.
• Minimum two years of independent OT experience; NICU experience in Level II or III.
• BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• Strong neonatal motor and sensory development knowledge; feeding/swallowing expertise.

Responsibilities

• Assess neuromotor, sensory, and behavioral development of premature and medically complex infants.
• Provide interventions to promote self-regulation, positioning, and motor skill acquisition.
• Support oral feeding readiness and safety in collaboration with speech and lactation services.
• Educate families on infant handling, positioning, and developmental care.
• Coordinate discharge readiness planning and caregiver training; provide outpatient support.
• Collaborate with NICU team to integrate OT recommendations into care plans.
• Document in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
