UTHealth Houston is seeking a Research Nurse to coordinate and conduct nursing care for pediatric and neurologic clinical trials. You will recruit, screen, enroll, and follow participants throughout the study, potentially handling multiple protocols.

You will manage nursing care within research projects, ensure compliance with protocols, and collaborate with investigators, staff, and sponsors. This role requires nursing expertise and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Clinical knowledge required for nursing and research coordination.
• Understanding of ethics and regulatory requirements in human subject research.
• Strong interpersonal skills for participant interaction and teamwork.
• Experience with data management and maintaining research records.
• State RN licensure or compact state licensure is required.
• ACRP-CP certification preferred for the role.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, screen, consent and educate participants about study objectives, benefits and risks.
• Coordinate nursing care functions per research protocols and supervise project staff.
• Schedule follow-up visits and maintain contact with participants and families.
• Distribute research information to faculty, staff and investigators as requested.
• Prepare regulatory submissions to IRB and other applicable agencies; manage enrollment activities.
• Input data and maintain research databases and related records.
