Job summary

Nexus Children’s Hospital – Dallas invites a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our pediatric neurorehabilitation team. You’ll work under a Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and support children’s mobility and daily function in a collaborative setting.

You will engage families, adapt activities to developmental needs, and document progress in the electronic health record while contributing to a multidisciplinary care approach.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current Texas licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• At least six months of experience in an acute care hospital or rehab setting.
• BLS certification valid for at least six months from date of hire.
• Experience with therapeutic exercise and mobility training.
• Strong communication with children and families.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions under supervision.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises to improve mobility.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and safety.
• Document patient progress in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate treatment with occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians.
• Adapt treatment plans to developmental and behavioral needs.
