Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year full-time RN experience in pediatric inpatient setting.
• Recent experience in care of pediatric patients with kidney disease or kidney transplant.
• Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Recent EMR documentation experience.
• Experience with use and care of portocaths, central lines and drawing labs required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for autonomous ambulatory pediatric nephrology care using the nursing process, coordinating with providers and families to meet patient needs.
• Coordinate outpatient services and insurance authorizations, contact home health, arrange DME, and ensure timely patient care.
• Assist in the development of patient care standards and practices across UCSF Medical Center locations.
