Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team. The role provides safe, therapeutic care to pediatric patients, including those with complex needs associated with kidney disease or transplant, across UCSF Medical Center locations, with supervision as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of pediatric inpatient RN experience, strong EMR documentation skills, and a CA RN license with CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year full-time RN experience in pediatric inpatient setting.
• Recent experience in care of pediatric patients with kidney disease or kidney transplant.
• Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Recent experience in the use of electronic medical record documentation.
• Experience with use and care of portocaths, central lines and drawing labs required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse per California BRN.
• Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Recent RN experience in pediatric outpatient specialty care coordination
• Recent experience with pediatric patient population in inpatient and/or outpatient setting
