Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support inpatient nephrology. You will work with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to infants, children and adolescents with kidney disease.

The role involves care coordination, family education and participation in rounds and discharge planning within a leading pediatric nephrology program in the Southwest.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing or ARC-PA equivalent required.
• ACEN/CCNE accredited nursing graduate program in Pediatric Acute Care, Primary Care or Family Medicine recommended.
• State license and board certification as NP or PA with current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nephrology care in collaboration with pediatric nephrologists.
• Evaluate and manage kidney-related disorders in hospitalized children.
• Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams across units.
• Participate in rounds, discharge planning and family education.
• Support dialysis/CKRT needs and participate in quality initiatives.
