Duke Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in the Duke Children's Health Center Nephrology Clinic and the Duke Children's Nephrology Creekstone locations in Durham, NC. You will work with attending physicians and APPs to collect/document data, perform procedures, order labs, and provide direct patient care.

Hours are Monday–Friday with flexibility to meet dialysis patient needs. Eligible candidates include Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with NP or PA training.

Qualifications

• Work requires completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures to assist physicians and document data.
• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations; record data and prepare workups.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; coordinate dialysis-related services when needed.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary Pediatric Nephrology team to ensure optimal patient care across inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Coordinate inpatient dialysis with dialysis unit nurses and surgical appointments for dialysis patients; monitor progress of patients linked to Pediatric Nephrology dialysis services.
