Duke Nephrology Clinic in Durham, NC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to augment a physician in outpatient nephrology services. Primary hours are Monday through Friday, day shift, with hours flexible to patient needs.

The role requires NP or PA training, NC licensure, and BLS. You will collect data, perform procedures, order labs, and provide direct patient care in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing.
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program; Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• See outpatients with chronic kidney disease independently with attending backup.
• Review, interpret, and follow up on labs; communicate results to patient and provider.
• Document visits in accordance with policies.
• Order/arrange iron infusion and EPO injections as needed.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures to aid diagnosis and treatment; record data.
• Take patient histories, conduct exams, and develop therapeutic plans.
